…To cover up the crime, Dr. Peter would delete electronic prescriptions. Others he wrote by hand, McMurtry said.
He wrote worked for SSM Healthcare at the time.
Under federal sentencing guidelines, Dr. Peter faces probation to six months in prison. He will also have to repay Medicare, which paid for the pills. He has also agreed to give up his Drug Enforcement Administration registration, which allows him to prescribe certain drugs, and won’t re-apply for at least five years…
